Brown sugar and butter peach cobbler with crunchy corners and a hint of almond and maple. This old-fashioned, easy peach cobbler recipe comes together in a snap and is oh so delicious. ½ cup butter, melted
1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar, divided
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 Tbsp vanilla
1 tsp almond extract
7 peaches or nectarines, sliced into 8 wedges
2 Tbsp maple syrup
Maple Butter:
¼ cup butter, melted
¼ cup maple syrup
Preheat the oven to 375*. Pour melted butter in a 9.13 baking dish. Whisk the flour, ¾ cup of the brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt together in a large mixing bowl. Add the milk, vanilla and almond extract and mix until just combined. Slice the peaches in a large mixing bowl and mix with the remaining ¼ cup of brown sugar and the maple syrup. Spoon half the sweetened peaches on top of the butter in the baking dish. Pour the batter over the top and then the remaining half of the peach wedges. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until the center is set and the edges are browned.
Mix the butter and maple syrup together and pour over the warm cobbler before serving. Delicious with ice cream or whipped cream.
