Kahlua Butterscotch Sauce

Delicious kahlua butterscotch Sauce or glaze is wonderful, comes together in 7 minutes, reheats nicely, and is amazing over ice cream, banana bread, and many other treats that may deserve a wonderful coffee and butterscotch flavored sauce.

1 cup brown sugar

½ cup butter

½ cup kahlua or coffee-flavored liqueur

Microwave brown sugar in a 8-cup heatproof measurer for 1 minute, add butter and microwave 1 minute at a time, stirring after each minute until the mixture comes together and is bubbly and puffy (about 3 minutes). Add kahlua and continue to stir, microwave a minute at a time until it comes together, is somewhat reduced and saucy (about 3 more minutes). Store in a mason-style jar with a lid and keep in the fridge.
