Blue Cheese & Berry Porto Steak Sauce

My friend Cheryl and I always make this amazing porto sauce with blue cheese and berries when we have filet mignon steaks. The flavors merry beautifully with the most tender cut of beef.

1 cup port wine

½ a lemon, juiced

½ cup blueberries

⅓ cup craisins (dried cranberries)

⅓ cup blue cheese crumbled

Reduce the port in a small saucepan over medium heat until it is reduced by about ½; maybe 15 minutes. Stir in the lemon juice, blueberries and craisins and let set to cool a bit off the burner (the craisins will plump). Lastly add the blue cheese and ladle over a beautiful steak.
