Blue Cheese Butter Lettuce Salad

Blue cheese salad with a butter lettuce twist makes for a beautiful platter or bowl for your dinner table. The dressing is the perfect blend of tangy and mild with beautiful blue cheese folded in.
1 head butter lettuce, washed and wedged
1 tomato, diced or 1 cup cherry medley tomatoes, halved
2 green onions, diced
2-3 oz blue cheese, crumbled
2 strips bacon/turkey bacon, crumbled
Place washed butter lettuce on a serving platter and wedge into 6 or 8 servings. Cook a couple slices of bacon and crumble. Scatter tomatoes, green onions, bacon and blue cheese decoratively over platter and ladle dressing on top.
Blue Cheese Dressing:
½ cup mayonnaise
½ cup buttermilk
½ cup sour cream
1 Tbsp dijon mustard
1 Tbsp red wine vinegar
½ a lemon, juiced
Salt and pepper, to taste
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp tapatio
½ tsp worcestershire
3 oz blue cheese, crumbled
Whisk mayonnaise, buttermilk, sour cream, dijon, vinegar and lemon juice together in a mason jar. Add seasonings and blue cheese and fold into dressing. Cap and store in the fridge until ready to use.
