Flank Steak with Tomato Butter

Massaged with tomato butter, this juicy flank steak baked in the oven at low temp creates a succulent tender steak. Great with a pot of rice!
1 - 1.5 lb flank steak
2 Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
¼ cup butter, softened
¼ cup tomato paste
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
Preheat the oven to 280*. Season the flank steak all over with Montreal steak seasoning and place in a 9.13 baking dish. In a small bowl, mix the butter, tomato paste, garlic, oregano, and basil. Spread over the steak and place in the oven. Bake for 40-45 minutes for medium rare or until done to your liking. Use an oven-safe thermometer for insurance. Let rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
