Korean Broccoli Steak Bowl

Delicious steak, broccoli, and rice bowl with a Korean-style marinade. Inspired by Chungah of Damn Delicious https://damndelicious.net/2013/07/07/korean-beef-bowl/

1 ½ lbs thinly sliced beef sirloin tip bola steak, cut bite-sized

¼ cup brown sugar

¼ cup soy sauce

1 Tbsp sesame oil

½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes

1 tsp ginger, minced

1 Tbsp olive oil

2 cups broccoli florets

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 green onions, sliced

1 tsp sesame seeds

Pot of rice

Cut thinly sliced steak into bite-size pieces and stir-fry steak in a large skillet with olive oil for one minute over medium heat. Mix brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and ginger together and pour over the meat, add broccoli and cover with a lid for 4 minutes. Turn off the heat and sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds. Scoop rice in bowls with steak, broccoli, and several spoonfuls of the marinade.
