Homemade with love hamburger buns; these are soft, fluffy, and perfect for your hamburger or sandwich. Feeling inspired by Carissa at Domestic Dreamboat today. These buns are delicious and your burger will have never tasted better.

Dough:

1Tbsp yeast (or one envelope)

1 cup + 3 Tbsp warm water

2Tbsp sugar

1 egg

3Tbsp butter, melted

3 ½ cups flour

1 tsp salt

Topping:

1 egg

1Tbsp milk or water

1 Tbsp Everything but the Bagel Seasoning (I found mine at Trader Joe’s)

Measure warm water with yeast and sugar and let it get foamy. Mix flour and salt in a stand mixer bowl. Add the yeast mixture, egg, and butter. Mix in a stand mixer for about 5 minutes on medium-high speed, if the dough is a bit dry add a little more water (1 Tbsp at a time) until the dough is a bit sticky.

Cover with plastic wrap and set in your oven (turned off) with the light on for just a bit of warmth for 1 hour. The dough should rise until nearly doubled.

Preheat oven to 375*. Scrape the dough out onto a lightly floured rolling surface. Divide dough into 9 equal portions, or roll dough into a rectangle and cut with a round biscuit cutter or large heavy glass. Place on a parchment or silpat-lined baking sheet. Allow to rise for about 30 minutes. Whisk the egg and milk together and with a pastry brush and gently brush each raised roll. Sprinkle the bagel seasoning on top and bake for 15 minutes. Let cool before slicing in half. Serve with love!
