2 Tbsp olive oil, divided
Garlic salt and pepper, to taste
1 Tbsp soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp ginger, minced
1 cup cilantro, chopped
2 limes, zested and juiced
2 ahi tuna steaks
1 avocado, sliced
Place 1 tablespoon olive oil, garlic salt, pepper, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, cilantro, lime zest and juice in a gallon bag with the ahi steaks. Marinade in the refrigerator for 1 hour or longer. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add remaining tablespoon of olive oil and cook ahi for about 3 minutes per side. When cooked to desired doneness, remove from skillet and keep warm. Pour marinade in the skillet and bring to a simmer for 1 minute. Serve with sliced avocado and rice, spooning marinade over ahi steaks and rice too.
