Autumn “Cheese Plate” Salad in a Glass

IMG_9787.jpg

This is truly a beautiful salad combined cheese plate, with pear vinaigrette dressed baby greens and sliced cheeses and pears, complete with candied pecans, apple wedges and a little puddle of honey. Inspired by a Better Homes and Gardens magazine photo. Lovely paired with a Capiaux Cellars Pinot Noir. https://www.capiauxcellars.com/product/2016-Capiaux-Starscape-Pinot-Noir

4 cups of baby greens

Olive oil, a drizzle

Pear vinegar, a drizzle

Garlic salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

1 red anjou pear

2 granny apples

Candied walnuts

Aged gouda cheese

Blue cheese

Honey with the honeycomb

Toss the baby greens with the olive oil, pear vinegar, garlic salt and pepper. Divide between 4 margarita or martini glasses. Slice the pear and apples and place around the edges of the glass. Slice the cheeses and place in glass. Sprinkle the walnuts next to the blue cheese and drizzle a little of the honey between them. Share with your favorite people.
