Steak tips and mushrooms are finished with a flavorful creamy sauce. Stroganoff is a family favorite, where else can you get gravy finished with sour cream... It is amazing over cooked pasta or rice.

2 Tbsp olive oil

2 Tbsp butter

2 cups shiitake mushrooms, sliced (or diced if you prefer smaller)

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, diced

Salt & pepper, to taste

Garlic salt, to taste

2 cups new york steak tips, sliced bite sized

1 Tbsp dijon mustard

2 Tbsp flour

½ cup red wine

1 cup beef broth

1 cup cream

1 ½ cups sour cream

2 green onions, sliced

Parsley, chopped for garnish

Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet and add mushrooms, onion and garlic. Stir until onion is soft and add seasonings and new yorks. Cook until browned and add the dijon and flour. Mix flour with steak and veggies before adding the wine, broth and cream.  Simmer for about 5 minutes or until slightly thickened and remove from heat. Stir in sour cream. Serve over pasta or rice and garnish with the green onions and parsley.
