Beef and Broccoli

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 8 mins | Course: Dinner | Serves: 4

Broccoli and beef stir fry with ginger, garlic, and sesame. This dish is literally so quick, under 10 minutes; take-out takes longer to order and get to your door. Make a pot of rice and get your ingredients pre-measured; yeah, it comes together that fast.

1 Tbsp olive oil

1 Tbsp sesame oil

1 lb flank steak, sliced in strips

1 onion, sliced

1 Tbsp cornstarch

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp ginger, finely grated or microplaned

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 Tbsp soy sauce

1 Tbsp rice vinegar

1 cup beef broth

12 oz broccoli florets

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Preheat a large skillet with olive oil, and sesame oil. Mix flank steak, onion, cornstarch, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl and add to the skillet. Stir fry over medium-high heat until onions are translucent, about five minutes. Turn the heat down to medium and add in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, beef broth, and broccoli. Place a lid on the skillet and steam for 3-4 minutes or until broccoli is cooked al dente. Serve over rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
