Cranberry Butter Candle

A beautiful edible butter candle with chopped craisins and the occasional crunch of pearl sugar. Add cranberry orange bread or cranberry sourdough or other favorite bread for serving with. This is such a fun and festive way to serve butter and eat bread. You can light the butter candle and dip torn pieces of bread into it. You will need a natural beeswax wick with a tab (linked below). ½ cup butter
1 Tbsp craisins, chopped fine
1 Tbsp pearl sugar
Cinnamon sugar, a sprinkle
Select a small bowl and cut a parchment circle to fit the bottom of the bowl. Place a dab of butter in the bowl and stick the parchment to it. This will aid in loosening the butter candle for removal. Dab a bit of butter on the parchment and affix the beeswax wick straightening the wick into the middle. Soften the butter in a microwave-safe bowl until it is almost melted but not quite in the microwave, start with 30-45 seconds. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the craisins and sprinkle most of the craisins in the butter, reserving a few pieces for the top. Do the same with the pearl sugar and mix. Spoon the mixture around the wick, keeping it straight in the middle. Smooth the top and decorate the top with the reserved bits of craisins and pearl sugar for garnish. Refrigerate the candle until firm. When ready to un-mold, dip the bowl briefly in warm water. Run a small scraper or knife around the edge and pop the candle out of the bowl placing it on a breadboard. Surround the candle with sliced or torn bites of bread. Trim the wick if needed, and light about 30 minutes prior, have people dip bread in the butter as it melts.
