Prep Time: 15 mins | Cook Time: 8 mins | Course: Dinner | Serves:

Skirt steak marinates with a mandarine sesame Asian-style marinade before being grilled to perfection. Perfect with a pot of rice, and maybe some steamed broccoli. Inspired by Jessica Mode of Home Body Eats  https://homebodyeats.com/grilled-asian-skirt-steak/

2 lbs skirt steak

Mandarine Marinade:

2 mandarines, zested and juiced

½ cup soy sauce

2 Tbsp sesame oil

¼ cup rice wine vinegar

3 cloves garlic, minced

½ tsp red chili flakes or Aleppo peppers

2 Tbsp sesame seeds, garnish

3 green onions, sliced, garnish

Pot of rice, cooked

Place steak and marinade ingredients in a plastic bag or other covered container and marinate it in the refrigerator for 2 or more hours.

Preheat the grill on high before grilling the steak for 3-4 minutes per side (depending on the thickness of the steak and the desired state of doneness). Allow the steak to rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain. Top with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve over rice!
