Mushroom Gravy

Mushroom gravy is perfect over steak and mashed potatoes. 


½ cup flour 

¼ cup olive oil

2 cups mushrooms, sliced 

1 Tbsp onion powder 

3 cloves garlic, minced 

½ cup red wine 

1-quart beef broth 

Salt and pepper, to taste 

Stir flour and olive oil together into a paste in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the mushrooms, onion powder, and garlic. Pour the red wine, and beef broth in slowly, stirring until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
