Pasta AI Funghi Shiitake

Fresh pasta with butter and browned garlic, shiitake mushroom sauce, a splash of truffle oil and a drizzle of mushroom and truffle pesto (I’m always inspired by Trader Joe's new products) for finishing the plating.


1 lb. fresh pasta, cooked

½ cup butter

¼ cup garlic

2 cups shiitake mushrooms, sliced

Garlic salt, to taste

Salt and pepper, to taste

Truffle oil, a dash

Mushroom and truffle pesto, from Trader Joe’s


Saute mushrooms and garlic in the butter until the garlic is a golden brown and the mushrooms have softened. Stir in garlic salt, salt and pepper and a dash of truffle oil. Add the hot pasta and mix to combine. Plate the pasta and top with a decadent spoonful of the mushroom pesto.
