Baked Brie with Balsamic Strawberries on Crostini

Delicious creamy baked brie topped with balsamic and honey simmered strawberries. Delicious with crostini, crackers or a sliced baguette of bread. Inspired by Chungah at Damn Delicious https://damndelicious.net/2022/04/05/strawberry-baked-brie/
1 8-oz round of brie cheese
3 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 Tbsp honey
2 cups strawberries, quartered
Salt and pepper, to taste
Basil leaves, chopped for garnish
Preheat oven to 350*. Place brie on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, then allow to cool for 5 minutes. Transfer to serving platter.
In a medium saucepan, simmer balsamic vinegar and honey for 2-3 minutes or until reduced. Add in the strawberries and cook until softened, about 3 more minutes. Season with salt and pepper and place over the brie. Top with basil leaves and serve with crostini, bread or crackers.
Crostini:
Baguette (or any bread), sliced thin
Olive oil, for drizzling
Sea salt
Preheat oven to 425*. Lay bread slices on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil and a sprinkling of sea salt. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
