Banana Cream Pie Bars

Banana cream pie bars with a buttery shortbread crust. This recipe is so simple and quick and delicious.

Shortbread Crust:

1 cup flour 

2 cup sugar 

1 teaspoon baking powder 

½ teaspoon cinnamon 

¼ teaspoon salt 

½ cup butter, melted 

Banana Cream:

3 bananas, sliced 

8 oz cream cheese, softened 

1 cup sugar 

½ cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon vanilla 

Preheat the oven to 375°. Butter a 9×13 baking pan and set to one side. In a mixing bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Stir melted butter into the dry ingredients, then press into the prepared baking pan, pressing with a flat bottomed cup. Bake for 12 minutes, then allow to cool.

Top the baked crust with sliced bananas. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla to stiff peaks. Spread over the bananas and refrigerate until ready to serve.
