Angel Hair Pasta with a Creamy Mushroom Tomato Sauce

or cloying. You could easily cook and add chicken tenders or shrimp to this yummy pasta.

2 Tbsp olive oil

2 Tbsp butter 

1 onion, diced 

2 cups mushrooms, chopped

2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved 

7 cloves garlic, minced 

1 cup heavy cream 

1 lemon, juiced 

¼ cup basil leaves, sliced into ribbons

1 cup Asiago cheese, grated

1 lb angel hair pasta, cooked

Saute onion, mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes in olive oil and butter until the onion is translucent. Add garlic, heavy cream, and lemon juice and allow to reduce for about 10 minutes over medium-low heat. Stir in the basil and Asiago cheese, then turn off the heat. Serve piping hot over cooked pasta.
