Philly Cheesesteak Sammies

I love philly cheesesteaks and these little gems are very quick and easy if you can find the beef steak shaved thin. Otherwise, you can trim rib eyes or new york steaks to thin strips. The cheese melts in at the last minute and is irresistible.

1 1-lb package shaved beef steak (or thinly sliced steak), I get this at Trader Joes

½ cup onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, chopped

1 cup mushrooms, sliced

Salt and pepper, to taste

Worcestershire, a couple of shakes

2 green onions, sliced

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Mayonnaise

Mustard

Hoagie rolls, sourdough or whatever you like

Preheat oven to 350*. Saute in a large skillet over medium heat with a Tbsp. olive oil the steak, onion, garlic, salt, pepper and worcestershire till cooked through.  Take off the heat and stir in the green onions and mozzarella.  Spread your rolls with the desired condiments and top with the cheesy steak.  Roll in aluminum foil and bake until warmed through. Serve with additional mustard.
